Youth Bake Sale

Sunday, June 3 the youth will sponsor a bake sale to raise money for their trip to Ichthus later in the month. There will be delicious, mouth watering items for sale following each service that Sunday. Everyone is encouraged to bring in baked items that Sunday priced and ready to sell. Then you won’t want to leave without buying something to take home with you.

College & Career Group

Cosmic Bowling, 8:30 pm, Friday, May 18th at Market Square Lanes, Lafayette. If you know anyone returning home from college, please invite them to our first social event of the summer. Vacation Bible School

As you begin thinking about your summer plans be sure to put the dates of July 8-12 on you calendar for our annual VBS. The theme this year is “Adventures on Promise Island”. Children ages 3 through 6th grade are invited to come from 6:00-8:30 p.m. to discover God’s lifesaving love. Volunteers are needed to help with the program so pray about serving in some capacity. Bridgett Sharp would welcome your email or phone call saying you would like to help.

Tithing Made Easy

Giving to Crestview UB Church is no longer done only on Sundays between nine and noon. We now offer you the opportunity for automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account or through PayPal.

If you wish to make tithing an automatic and a fixed amount click on this link: ACH Authorization form Crestview UB Church and print the form. Complete it and drop in the offering plate or mail to the church. Within a couple weeks, you will be notified when the draft is set up.

PayPal is just another way to donate to the church and God’s work here at Crestview. Navigate to the Worship Service page and look for the iconic “Donate” button. Just follow the prompts. You may use either your credit card or your PayPal account if you have one.

In either case, thank you and may the Lord bless you for your sacrifice to his kingdom.

Board of Governance

The Board of Governance is a management team organizational style rather than an a committee as was the case until 2009.

Once again the Board asks all of our members and constituents to remember that this church belongs to God and our ministry is to glorify Him with our service. Reaching the DEchurched is part of fulfilling the Great Commission (read Pastor Young’s blogs to learn more). With an attitude of service and commitment to this common cause we will reach our goal: CRV414.

The board members in 2012 are: Scott Gobel, Bridgett Sharp, and Frank Grove. Returning members are: Kevin Underwood, Jim Stalker. Both Pastors Young and Redmond also serve on the board.

Kevin Underwood was elected the chairman and Jim Stalker the Vice-Chairman. Members serve two year staggered terms so there is no complete turnover in anyone year and experience is maintained. In addition, ministry leaders are appointed for one year terms. These leaders then pick their ministry team.

With flexibility, the second Tuesday of each month was established as the Board of Governance meeting night.
