Board of Governance (B.O.G.) (Kevin Underwood, Chairman, Janice Arden, Jim Stalker, Jay Underwood, Terry Sharp, Pastor Young)

The B.O.G. met August 17th and spent nearly the entire three hour meeting discussing the feedback recieved from the two Sunday evening meetings. The BOG recognized there is some anxiety about funding of this positon but would like the congregation to know that half the estimated salary amount has been set aside each month since December ’09.  The funding gap is not as wide as some might think. But yes, there is still a gap. More on that later.

The BOG will now narrow the candiate field to no more than four. References are being contacted and interviews will be set up. Concurrently the BOG has identified four members at large to participate in the interviews. Those people are being contacted at this time and their names will be published if they agree to serve. The timeline calls for interviews to be complete before the end of September.

This is an EXCITING time in Crestview’s history as we face the pleasant problem of handling growth in attendance and ministry outreach.
