Board of Governance

The Board of Governance is a management team organizational style rather than an a committee as was the case until 2009.

Once again the Board asks all of our members and constituents to remember that this church belongs to God and our ministry is to glorify Him with our service. Reaching the DEchurched is part of fulfilling the Great Commission (read Pastor Young’s blogs to learn more). With an attitude of service and commitment to this common cause we will reach our goal: CRV414.

The board membersĀ in 2011 are: Scott Gobel, Bridgett Sharp, and Frank Grove. Returning members are: Kevin Underwood, Jim Stalker, Jay Underwood, Pastor Young. Kevin Underwood was elected the chairman and Jim Stalker the Vice-Chairman. Beginning in November of each year the Board has the opportunity to change its composition. Members serve two year staggered terms so there is no complete turnover in anyone year and experience is maintained. This year a pastorial appointment is open as the term of Jim Stalker is completed. Pastor Dan is prayerfully considering people for this position. In addition, ministry leaders are appointed for one year terms. These leaders then pick their ministry team.

The entire Board of Governance and ministry team leaders are posted before the congregation and affirmed by a voteĀ of the members.

The second Tuesday of each month was established as the Board of Governance meeting night.
